About the role
The Senior Analyst, Research and Data role sits within the Information Research and Analytics team. A team dedicated to collecting and curating safety and security performance information to support decision makers and inform regulatory education programmes and insight/intelligence reports for the aviation sector.
This role involves interrogating the Authority’s databases, using Databricks, as well as contemporary analytical tools, such as SQL, R, Power BI; and applying appropriate statistical methodologies to conduct complex data analysis and provide high-quality insights to support decision-making across the Authority.
The salary band for this role is $115,536 to $141,751. Starting salaries are based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities.

To succeed in this role you’ll demonstrate:
- Experience delivering high-quality data analytics, research, and insights
- Strong skills in statistical modelling, data visualisation, and reporting
- Knowledge of data modelling, relational databases, and data governance
- Proficiency in Databricks, R, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools
- Experience driving continuous improvement and automation initiatives
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and mentor others
