We are looking for a knowledgeable and interpersonal-savvy adult educator to join our Learning and Capability team as Senior Advisor, Safety Learning.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in creating and delivering learning experiences to develop our people, practice and performance across the Aviation Safety Oversight group. This will be achieved through effective learning and capability development discussions leading to the design and development of appropriate learning solutions, in partnership with operational leaders and SMEs.
About the Role
As Senior Advisor, Safety Learning, you will:

Engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to identify learning and development needs, contributing to the design and implementation of effective learning initiatives.

Ensure alignment of learning priorities and frameworks with regulatory requirements, organisational policies, and strategic learning plans.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contemporary learning and development practices, providing expert guidance to support the capability development of our staff involved in aviation safety.

Support the delivery and facilitation of structured learning programs to enhance organisational competence and regulatory effectiveness.
About you
You are an experienced adult educator, seeking an exciting opportunity to spearhead the development and delivery of CAA’s regulatory learning pathways in support of its regulatory functions.
You will bring

Proven experience in adult education, where you have successfully designed and delivered learning programmes within complex organisations.

A good understanding of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework, and the ability to apply assessment frameworks in an industry setting.

Strong facilitation skills and the ability to collaborate closely with a diverse range of SMEs and operational leaders.

Hands on experience in assessing learning artifacts.

A relevant tertiary qualification in education, learning and development or equivalent.

Familiarity with or experience in the aviation sector or regulatory environment is an advantage, but not essential.
The salary band for this role starts at $115 536, up to a maximum of $161 412. Starting salaries are be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities.
