At the Civil Aviation Authority, we don’t just keep New Zealand’s skies safe and secure, we help shape the future of aviation.

As the industry evolves, so do we, through innovative technology, new ways of working, and a team of people who are passionate about what they do.

Now’s the time to get on board. We’re building a forward-thinking, modern CAA, and we need people who want their work to matter. People who thrive on challenges, value collaboration, and want to make a positive impact every day.

If you're ready to grow your career while helping keep one of New Zealand’s most vital sectors safe and secure, this is your opportunity.

About the role

Due to an exciting overseas opportunity, we have a permanent role available for an experienced senior recruiter to join our supportive and trusted team of recruitment and HR professionals.

You will partner directly with hiring leaders across CAA, where your expertise will be valued, and contribute towards building overall leadership capability, and driving long-lasting outcomes that deliver results for some of our most business-critical roles.

As Senior Advisor, Recruitment, you will:

We like to keep things light, and if baking is your thing, you’ll fit right in.

While your role is predominantly focussed on recruitment, we are a team that works together, and there will be occasions where you will need to pitch in as necessary. This means you will have an interest and willingness to learn, and engage, in a wider scope of HR activities, beyond recruitment.

You will have:

  • Proven experience with inhouse end-to-end recruitment (ideally senior-level hiring)
  • A strong understanding of best-practice, inclusive recruitment.
  • The ability to influence and coach people leaders with confidence.
  • Experience using recruitment systems and data to drive decisions.
  • A good understanding of NZ employment legislation related to employment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • A proactive, people-first mindset and a passion for great hiring.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a highly respected government organisation with a vital public safety mission.
  • Work in an inclusive, and purpose-driven team.
  • Gain exposure to a diverse, nationwide workforce.
  • Contribute to shaping the talent landscape of the aviation sector.
