About the role:
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Advisor, Commercial and Procurement to join our team on a fixed-term basis, to support the growth and   of our Commercial and Procurement function.

In this role, you’ll lead the delivery of our more complex procurement processes, contract negotiations, and delivery of commercial projects – with a particular focus in the digital space. Your experience will help the CAA with ensuring our systems and processes are fit for purpose.

You will hold key stakeholder relationships across all levels of the business – from providing practical, best practice advice to our executive leadership team; to fostering the professional development of our junior team members.

The starting salary for the Senior Advisor, Commercial and Procurement within Corporate Services group is between $115,536-$141,751 per annum. Starting salaries are based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities.

What You’ll Bring:
You’ll be an experienced Commercial and Procurement professional, who is skilled in building relationships, attention to detail, and communication.

Skills and Experience  

  • At least 5-years’ experience in commercial advisory or procurement within large and complex public sector agencies.
  • Experience in the digital procurement is preferrable, but not essential.
  • Coaching/mentoring experience
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement best practices
  • Skills in contract management, negotiating with suppliers, and building relationships
  • Strong relationship building skills, with a proven ability to proactively develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Great interpersonal skills to work well with people inside and outside the organisation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation, good organisation, and the ability to work both alone and within a close-knit team 
  • Ability to read, understand, interpret, and analyse complex documents, including legislation, financial, numerical, legal and business information.
