About the role
We are looking for an experienced investigator to join our multi-disciplinary team, responsible for investigating aviation safety and security incidents and accidents. Depending on the complexity of the situation, you could lead and manage the investigation or work as part of a wider cross-functional team.
In this unique role you will be required to travel, including travel to the site of an incident or accident. All Investigators must be medically and physically fit to undertake their role in remote and potentially hazardous locations.
The salary band for the Investigator starts at $136,939 to a maximum of $191,448. Starting salaries are to be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities.
What You’ll Bring
To be successful in this role, it is essential to have a solid background in investigations. You will possess excellent emotional intelligence and resilience to manage in challenging and emotionally difficult situations. It is critical in this role to have strong relationship building skills to develop internal and external relationships to educate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
We are interested in hearing from experienced practitioners who are excellent communicators, possess high attention to detail and have a good working knowledge of New Zealand Civil Aviation legislative and regulatory framework.
· A successful track record as an experienced Investigator preferably in a complex environment.
· Proven ability to write comprehensive investigation reports.
· Experience in identifying and managing risks.
· Effective relationships and stakeholder management skills.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and confident decision-making capabilities.
· A pragmatic, flexible and adaptable approach.
