About us
If you’ve ever been to an airport in New Zealand you may have met some of our team but you may not know who we are. There are two parts to our business - the regulatory arm (Civil Aviation Authority), which is responsible for the safety oversight of the civil aviation system, and the security arm (Aviation Security Service) who you would have met if you’ve travelled by plane in New Zealand. We are a Crown entity and we are responsible for the safety and security of New Zealand’s civil aviation system.


About the role
The Advisor Culture and People is part of the People Unit. This unit works as an enabler, partner and key support to the business. This role will support the team to deliver on our people strategy by providing targeted advice, support, and guidance to our people across the organisation.  The team will work on a wide range of initiatives related to culture, values, engagement, diversity and inclusion, rewards and recognition, and policy reviews.

 

Key responsibilities:
• Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
• Research, design, and development of People initiatives
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Policy development

 

What we’re looking for
We are looking for a driven self-starter who will be a trusted partner to our people.  The successful candidate will be a good communicator and someone who enjoys engaging with all people across out multi-faceted organisation.

 

To be considered for this role you will have:

• A couple of years working in HR, typically in an HR Advisory role
• Previous experience in employee engagement, culture, or staff surveys
• Some experience in the participation of successful human resources, organisational development, or related projects
• Strong partnership builder and sound relationship management skills
• Experience in the wider public sector and State sector operating environment is desirable
