About the Role
We are looking for an Advisor, Resolutions to join the Resolutions team within our Assurance and Governance Group. This role is perfect for someone who is motivated by public sector integrity, enjoys complexity, and brings exceptional judgement, communication, and relationship skills.
You will be part of a small, supportive team that plays a crucial role in how the public and key stakeholders interact with the Authority. Your work helps strengthen trust, improve operational systems, and uphold the highest standards of public service
The salary band starts at $83,600 - $102,302. Starting salaries will be based on the knowledge, skills, and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities.
Key Responsibilities
As Advisor, Resolutions, you will:
- Triage, coordinate, and advise on complaints and information requests.
- Draft high‑quality, timely responses for Official Information Act requests, Privacy Act matters, and ministerial correspondence.
- Support the Senior Advisor in improving systems, processes, and best‑practice approaches.
- Provide guidance to internal teams on complaints management and information handling.
- Analyse trends and identify opportunities to strengthen our organisational practices.
- Work closely with teams across CAA, including Legal, Governance, Communications and Quality.
- Handle sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement.

About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong working knowledge and practical experience applying the Official Information Act 1982 and Privacy Act 2020.
- Experience in complaints management or resolution functions within a large or complex public sector environment.
- Excellent understanding of public sector processes, machinery of government, and political context.
- A high level of judgement, discretion and the ability to navigate sensitive or complex issues.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — you can craft clear, respectful, and accurate responses under time pressure.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- The ability to self‑manage, prioritise effectively, and meet legislative timeframes.
- A mindset for continuous improvement, with the ability to analyse systems and recommend enhancements.
