About the Role

As Advisor, Commercial and Procurement, you'll play a key role in helping CAA get the best value from its procurement and commercial activities. Working closely with managers and stakeholders across the organisation, you'll provide expert advice, lead procurement processes, support commercial projects, and help strengthen systems and practices that ensure procurement activities are efficient, transparent, and aligned with public sector best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert commercial and procurement advice to managers across CAA.
• Lead procurement processes from planning through to contract establishment.
• Support the delivery of commercial projects and improvement initiatives.
• Analyse procurement options, costs, benefits, and risks to inform decision-making.
• Develop procurement documentation and support market engagement activities.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Collect, analyse, and report procurement and commercial data.
• Contribute to contract and supplier management activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement practices and processes.
• Ensure procurement activities uphold accountability, transparency, and best practice standards.

The salary band for this role is $83,600 - $102,302. Starting salaries are based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities.

To succeed in this role you'll demonstrate:

• Experience providing procurement or commercial advice in a public sector or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, processes, and best practice approaches.
• Ability to analyse complex information and translate it into practical recommendations.
• Experience supporting sourcing activities, negotiations, and supplier arrangements.
• Sound contract management and supplier relationship management capability.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• A proactive, adaptable, and improvement-focused approach to work.
