About the role
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is looking for a Programme Manager on a full-time, permanent basis in our Auckland Airport office.
The Programme Manager is a key deployable member of the Project Delivery and Portfolio Management team, responsible for the strategic coordination, planning, management, and successful delivery of CAA programmes. You will primarily work on programmes based in Auckland but will lead other Authority programmes as needed.
Initially, this role will be focused on leading the Authority’s programme associated with the Auckland International and Domestic Airport redevelopment, which is anticipated to run through to 2029. In addition to managing programmes, you will lead and provide strategic advice to project leads and stakeholders on workflows, procedures, and processes while ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
The salary band for this position goes from $136,939 to $191,448 with a target starting salary of $161,941. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader Authority for the same or similar roles.
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you should be an experienced Programme Manager who has delivered work in a complex operating environment. This role will see you working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders so the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively is essential.
You will be highly motivated, with the ability to work under minimal supervision and take ownership of problem solving to achieve results. Additionally, you will be able to take a strategic view and identify how disparate project elements interlink.
Prior experience delivering infrastructure projects and formal qualification (e.g. Prince 2 or MSP) would be advantageous but not prerequisites for success.
